Admin Assistant

Location: Shelbyville, TN 37160

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, some flexibility is offered

Pay: $18/hr

Temp to hire

The Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and attendance-tracking support to onsite operations. This entry-level role works closely with managers and employees to ensure accurate timekeeping, badge access, and attendance records, while supporting general administrative needs as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and issue employee badges, ensuring accurate access and identification records
  • Track and manage employee attendance by partnering closely with onsite managers
  • Confirm daily worker attendance using time clock systems and manager verification
  • Enter and maintain time clock exceptions, including approved time off, absences, and corrections
  • Ensure attendance data is accurate, up to date, and properly documented
  • Communicate attendance discrepancies or issues to appropriate managers for resolution
  • Maintain organized records and perform routine data entry in administrative systems
  • Support ad-hoc administrative projects and general office tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous administrative, clerical, or office support experience preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with timekeeping and data entry
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with time clock or attendance systems a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
